Yeah. I hope it doesn't happen. It would be tragic. The US show is a completely different thing to the original (I don't happen to like it but I know some of you folks do)..so if they were to base any future episodes of the UK Office on the US one it would fuck the whole feel of the show up.
They should go back to XFM. Just Ricky and Steve, no Karl. |

Hmm, I can't see that working. The US version is quite carefully thought out and character led, where as the UK one isn't. I mean, yeah, you've got the relationship between Tim and Dawn and David and Gareth but they're both leading to a set conclusion, which is the end. If Gervais and Merchant did more, I suspect it'd just be another batch of 6 similar episodes.
Bleh, to be honest, I really don't even see the point, the US version has surpassed it for me anyway and I think I even want or need to see the UK one trying to emulate the US one. |

:)
What I mean is that at the moment they are now relying a lot on Karl for their comedy. I still think they are funny but it would be best for them to do something Karl free on the radio again so that they have to do the work and not rely on Monkey News, Rockbusters and the golden oldie and mainly forgotten Knob News.
The Office should be left well alone. |

Yeah I'm with Chappo here. Pilkers isn't nearly as funny as he used to be, and Gervais and Merchant aren't even having to put any effort in. The old shows before he just became a gimmick were so much better.
Did anyone hear about Karl walking out during a radio show with Russell Brand? Brand did something to piss him off, but its a bit of a mystery. |

| Yeah, I heard about that. I don't know what happened, but he doesn't do the show with him anymore. |

| I think it might be time for Ricky and Steve to revive those comic characters Camp David and Ho Le Fuk. They could write a whole new series around them. The first episode could centre around Ho Le Fuk being offered his choice of either a bowler hat or a lampshade to wear on his head, ala XFM. I wonder which he'd choose? That's the cliffhanger. |
