I just downloaded that Rio Ferdinand's World Cup Wind Ups and watched it. It was pretty good I thought. Quite funny. All of the players actually came out of it looking pretty good and with some dignity which I didn't expect (ie - Neville turning down the bribe for the speeding ticket / SWP trying to protect the waiter from his boss). Yeah...good on 'em.

Well, Rooney just looked like what he is...a bit thick.

David James came across as a bit pretentious.

Gary Neville was ok....he was willing to take the punishment for his "crime" and wouldn't just wriggle out of it by having his photo taken with the copper. Like he said "I'm non negotiable".

I was just surprised that I didn't actually come away from watching it hating any of the players in it. I was expecting them to all be really nasty characters but they weren't.

I went to see Prince once at Maine Road and the little moss side street urchins were all running around trying to fleece the punters going in "Watch ya car??" and all that. I remember lining up to get into the concert and the kids were beating shit out of each other, throwing bottles and kicking footballs at all of us in that were queuing up.
Lovely people.

I often wondered what Prince made of it all as he arrived at the venue in his limo. :lol:

I haven't been following WC at all this year...I don't think I get any of it on my TV...sucks. Actually I do watch a bit on Telemundo...plus it helps my Spanish. U.S. is sucking royale right? I believe they are...it's sad...I doubt most Americans have any clue...
