I'm trying to play down my miserable bastard routine so I've kept this out of bad stuffe, but the weather has pissed me off already.

For the first 4 or 5 days I was well up for it, I was even out for most of them but now it's turned into a pain. You've got to take several baths a day like an OCD cockend because sweat just drips from you (and I'm not even a sweaty kind of person) I end up waking up at 6.30 and not being able to go back to sleep because it's like a Swedish sauna in my room. In every respect.

And probably the worst of all, it's impossible to get that bit of glare off of the telly screen no matter how many times you pull the curtains in a bit more. If it wasn't for my mum I'd never open the fuckers.

Pah.

My nan has bought me a massive fan, which is great except for 1 problem. That problem being that it just redirects hot air onto me, which renders it completely useless.

I'm having to bath/shower even more often than usual, which is fairly often. Some mornings I wake up and think I've pissed myself, due to the fucking sweat.

I'm blaming the heat for constantly losing at Pro Evolution Soccer 5 as well. Its working for Sven's lads.

I've got a USB fan.

This afternoon i officially donned on my shorts, sandals and sunglasses. I went out this morning in jeans and ended up literally dehydrating my gonads off.

It's bloody freezing here at the moment, so I'm having none of your moaning. What's not to be happy about? It's sunny and you are in the middle of a huge football feast and you can see and hear all the games.

I'm sat shivering at my desk at work. Have to resort to following the games on a Yahoo matchcast which is just a load of stats updating every minute. I can;t sneak off to the pub to watch it either cos Mrs Chappo has the car

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just found a link to some English commentary courtesy of those lovely folks ( :? ????) at The Sun newspaper.

I've got a feeling it's a couple of blokes sitting watching the game on telly somewhere in a bedroom in England but it's the best I can get at the moment! It'll do.

:)

I don't know why you're having such a problem, have you tried the BBC's website?

The BBC don't allow streaming outside of the UK, as I found whilst living in Australia. Of course its possible to use a proxy (ukproxy.com works, if I recall!)

Yeah. The proxy thing is a bit hit and miss. I've only got it to work once at home. And also they won't let me mess around with proxies on my works computer. Would love to get the Five Live commentary but it's not possible.

It sounds like you've put your fan on the wrong way around, you berk. If you turn a fan around it pumps out warm air, that's why some people use them in the winter too.

Maybe you've just got a poltergeist fan.

Wow it's been like 95 the last few days...I must say, rather unseasonably warm for these parts... :)

imagine if it was 95 year, by our temperature standards. like being in a kettle.

Yeah you'd die for sure...a horrible horrible death.

So it's been like 35 Celsius I should say...still wicked hot -- plus the humidity...killer. Although today is just lovely...I work by the ocean so you could smell that lovely ocean air when I stepped outside the office...humidity was down...just lovely....ahhh.. :)

Surely there comes a point when the heat doesn't matter anymore. I can't imagine there being a massive difference between 28 and 35.
