That title is a pun, so you can fuck right off.

Not sure how this happened or why, but myself and 3 friends have just bought tickets to Amsterdam (cheese, etc) for the end of the month, 5 nights, 4 star hotel for £150.

It'll be nice to get away. I bloody deserve it. Has anyone been before? Apart from drugs being legal and every third woman working in the sex industry I'm not sure what to expect. Do they speak english? My knowledge of Dutch football is only going to get me so far. The hotel is built into a golf resort so I'm going to give that a go, and hopefully catch an Ajax game. Other than that we haven't really got a clue what we're doing. Might go and see Anne Frank's cupboard, but I doubt it's up to much to be honest.

I'm in Amsterdam at the moment.

All the "women" speak english and you get sky sports in the bars. I got chatting to some Ajax fans on Thursday before their UEFA cup game. Boy the Dutch footie fans like a beer. Am now regretting not going as they won 3-0.

It's nice for a couple of days but, unless you're going to shag your way round the red ligh district, wandering round can get a bit samey.

Oh, BTW. Anne Frank's house - overrated.

Cheers Mentalist. How long have you gone for? We're trying to find things to do, but the general idea does just seem to be walk around and get drunk, which I suppose is alright. My uncle has just offered to give me money for a prostitute, which is nice of him. I'm gonna buy a new Hard Drive with the cash.

I went on a train journey through The Netherlands once with a group from school. Never went to Amsterdam. We did visit The Hague though and I believe a few of us spent the day walking along the beachfront looking at all the topless lady sunbathers and admiring their "baps" (as we called them).

Those were the days.......

Well, I was (as I'm now back in the black North) there for 4 days for a conference which mainly involved wandering around the red light area, gawping at semi clad women in red windows and drinking (not necessarily in that order).

A canal trip will waste an hour or so and is "quite nice"
Apparantly the sex prices start from 20 euros. There are some scary looking black women there too. However, I'm reliably informed, give your valuables to someone before you go in otherwise you could end up being very, very robbed.

I felt like a bit of a party pooper as after the first nigh in the City I wasn't really that interested in wandering round the red light district again.
