no matter how shit your life is every now and then a little something happens that makes you happy. this week i had 2 such moments which i want to share and i hope you will share yours too.
1) i went to a job agency earlier in the week to do some tests just to give them an idea of my skills with word, excel, powerpoint, etc. i took the word test and i scored 75 words per minute which they excitedly told me was the highest score they've ever seen and that's including the people that work in said agency. i took it all in my stride obviously, acted very casual. i did feel incredibly chuffed though as these office-monkeys lavished me with praise. they seem quite confident they can find me work and reckon the sort of stuff i would be doing will pay between 8 and 12 quid an hour!
2) on friday night i met up with a female friend i hadn't seen in a year (you might remember me visiting her when i was at my nan's, staying at her house, groping her and reducing her to tears by accident) well anyway, we were going to go clubbing as it was a friend of the guy whose shed i stayed in's birthday but i forgot my ID and wasn't allowed in. she didn't want to go if i wasn't, so instead we went back to her place and sat on the sofa drinking red wine and watching monty python's flying circus until 6am. it was incredibly nice and she fell asleep on me. i'm also proud to say that the idea of groping didn't enter my thoughts and when i was sure she was asleep i put a blanket on her and left. just being in that situation was really comforting, and i can sort of see why people bother with relationships and stuff now. gotta get me one of those.
to counterbalance these two good things - yesterday i received a £20 fine for riding the train without a ticket and this morning i had a gang of youths shout "faggot" at me for a good 15 minutes. it really was quite tiresome.
share your happiness. |

Well done, you successfully avoided groping a sleeping girl! Well done and all that, though.
Not really a happy thing but the other day I nearly got caught up in a crime scene. Which was a bit exciting. I was walking along this busy street and I saw a guy on the side of the road with people making a fuss, as I got closer the police ran up and sealed off the area with that tape stuff and started getting statements from everybody they could. I heard somebody say it was a hit and run, but since I didn't see anything, I ran up a side road to avoid having to give my name over etc and subsequently got lost in a really black area of Bristol. Luckily, I was not subjected to chicken, rice or indeed pea.
I tell nice stories. |

| I also didn't grope a girl sleeping on me, the age of the gentleman has returned. |
