Tony Blair left then. It was great when we didn't have a prime minister for 10 minutes while Blair was kissing the queens hand like a berk, it felt slightly anarchic. I didn't do anything to stage a coup or anything, I was making a banana sandwich for fuck sake.
Brown's speech when he got back from his outdated nonsense with the queen was quite funny, he looked vaguely fascistic in his demeanor, head high, stern face, chest out etc. If we wake up tomorrow with 50 foot flags with his face on draped down the side of tall buildings, I don't think we can say we didn't expect that. |

I'm not overly political, but anyone who references his school motto and claims he will "try his utmost" is not gonna win an election.
Not do a bad job, just not win an election. |

i was expecting something to happen during those 10 minutes as well, but my idea involved most of the cabinet secretly being aliens. that'd be brilliant if brown turned us into this orwellianesque country though. probably not, but it'd be a laugh.
my friend thought john prescott was the new prime minister. fortunately i watch newsnight to stay abreast of the politics |
