....with Dark Side of the Moon by Pink Floyd playing as the soundtrack.

Ok, there's a couple of moments near the beginning where it lines up just perfect. Music cues coincide with cuts in the film, and it's the right change of atmos and everything.

But basically, it stops working by the time Dorothy gets to Oz. Soon as the film hits colour, you really have to stretch to get any meaning from the music. Also, after listening to the same album 2 1/2 times (it's a bit shorter than the film), you really find it grating.

So in short, don't ever bother doing this.

(I did as it was on at that festival I went to, and it 3am and no bands were on and I was knackered and well it seemed like a good idea at the time.)

I like the idea of something like this, but I just can't stand Dark Side of the Moon.

I believe you can download a number of DVDs of that stuff on various torrent sites. I also remember going to a record shop a few years back and the bloke had some bottleg DVDs and among them was the Floyd/Oz thing and then there were a load more obscurer ones. Gone With The Wind mixed with something I seem to recall. Some people have too much time on their hands.

Wow you actually tried it Ellikins (can I call you that? :) )...I've always heard it works, but this is sorta along the same vein as Alistair Crowley on the Eagles's Hotel California Album...or Sgt. Peppers with the mirror stuff and all that....I guess with CDs now it seems album covers or songs don't seem to hold the same mystery anymore...hmmm....

There has long been the rumour that if you join up the big stars on the 'Magical Mystery Tour' cover it reveals a telephone number that will get you connected to a Mr Billy Shears and he will let you in on the whole Paul Is Dead secret. And do you know what? I tried it and IT WORKS!!!!
