Am I the only one who sometimes feels that there are just too many things to listen to and watch these days?

Obviously it's great to have access to a lot of stuff online via downloads, streaming, torrents etc. But it's all a bit overwhelming sometimes.

Take Danny Baker. I'm a big fan and like to hear his Radio London show. So I can download a weeks worth of his shows (2 hours per show) at a time and listen to them during the following week. I'm a week behind but I can keep up with them and it's all well and good, no problem there. Then he decides to do a daily podcast which is different to the radio show....this is a hour podcast usually. So I started to download those and have struggled to listen to them, but I've heard MOST of them. (the podcast was free but now you have to pay..I've not subscribed yet). Then he adds ANOTHER podcast...a football one with Danny Kelly. This is a once a week thing.

I'm not criticising Danny Baker for this at all....just used him as an example.

Say I managed to download all of this stuff regularly. When the hell will I have time to listen to it all? I do have other things to do..like work for a living. I also like to watch other things on telly and listen to music and other radio shows too. I can't dedicate that chunk of time to one single thing..not matter how enjoyable or how much I'd like to.
I've also got a hard drive full of concerts and videos I've downloaded and I've not listened to.

About 10 - 12 years ago I was dreaming on having sites available where you could download almost any TV show, radio show, concert, film etc that you could ever wish for. I imagine it's like people that work in a sweet factory...at first you eat all the sweets but then a few months later you're sick of the sight of them.

Things have gone a bit mental haven't they?

or is it just me?

Yeah. Well the worst one for me is comedy stuff. I used to download so much of it, and then when hard drive space runs out I don't want to delete it, so I have to archive it properly and that's annoying. I just don't check around for stuff anymore because if I do I'll be forever downloading.
