I am very jealous.

Also I'm confused, places seem to be putting up christmas lights already. Shops mostly, but a big bridge in London also is very elaborately decorated with christmas lights.

Still, it's November! I think November is technically just "a bit early" rather than "way too early" to be discussing christmas.

So come on folks, Xmas is getting closer...how's everyone's preparations going?

We just had our works Christmas dinner this afternoon. It's the one day of the year where the cafeteria lays on free food. Very nice it was too. Chicken and Pork this year.

Mrs Chappo put up the decorations on Monday so our house looks all festive now.

I wrote all my cards last night.

Already done my annual "listen to the Beatles Christmas records in order all in one go" thing...did that last week.

Loaded up the best Christmas songs on my mp3 player. Pogues, Wombles, Wizzard, Slade, Shaky and Wham etc etc

Still won't feel really Christmassy until tv.cream.org puts up it's Christmas pages though. It's the nearest I get these days to the thrill of getting the Christmas Radio Times / TV Times.

Presents-wise, could be decent this year. I've asked for a stylophone, a book, and king of the hill season 5. Let's see if I get any of that, or something Peter Kay related.

Going back to my first weird post, this week and next week is my main time for going for walks etc, so I'm looking forward to that. On my own, since that girl left the course.

I'm getting money presents from Dad and bro as am saving up for new computer.
I may regret this as 28th is my birthday, and so it's very likely I won't be getting any actual presents this year.

However, a few of the presents I'm getting my family, while stuff they want, happens to overlap with stuff I want, so hooray! :D

Chappo, what Chirstmas songs are you fond of? Which is the one by shaky, for I seem to not have it.

Elliott,

If I was pushed I'd have to say my favourite was "Wombling Merry Christmas" it's a glam rock classic!

The Shaky one is "Merry Christmas Everyone"

"snow is falling all around me, children playing having fun.." etc etc....

You'll know it, he wore a suitably Christmassy sweater in the video if I remember rightly.

You're being a bit harsh "I'm djing but won't be there when it gets good!"

It'll be awesome dude. Just play the pogues again and again and again.
