| Oh good God...that looks horrible...sorry Dan. Perhaps if you had a better-fitting pan it wouldn't look so frightening...it's just splayed out all over the place there... |

| Speaking of food (or something akin to it...)...are food prices skyrocketing across the pond like they are here? Just curious...I imagine they are...it's global I know. Of course our economy is a NIGHTMARE right now...it's actually almost hilarious in a way...how bad it is... |

I don't understand the economy at all to be honest. I don't understand the mechanics of it. When they show footage of crowds of people in the stock markets around the world waving their hands in the air and shouting down a phone...what are they doing?? I don't even think they know. I don't believe that anyone really knows how it all works. It doesn't seem to make any sense.
It's all fucked up. But the sun will still come up tomorrow.
Mind you it is kind of fun to see people who took on ridiculously huge mortgages getting turfed out of their houses and having to suffer the ignominity of "downsizing their lives" (ie - live within their means for once). The twats.

Sure you know...simply buying and selling stocks. That's it. That's an extremely simplified explanation. Of course there are different kinds of stocks, and you can buy long, or short...you can purchase futures...you can invest in money markets, hedge funds, etc...you can do market analysis, work as a speculator...drive prices up or down depending on how much stock you own and how you choose to invest it...but ultimately, it all comes down to buying and selling stocks. It's really pretty fun! :|[/quote] :P :D
