Was it on Australian TV? I don't think I've ever seen the movie.
The yanks love AYBS too. It's almost constantly being shown on our local public broadcasting channel and I know a lot of people at work tell me they watch it. A bit weird really considering that there is so much better British comedy out there which they've never heard of. They have a very weird selection of "Britcoms" on. On a Saturday night we get 'Keeping Up Appearences', 'As Time Goes By' , 'My Family' and 'Home To Roost'.
We used to have 'Allo Allo' and 'On The Up' too. Bizarre.
I end up watching them just because they're on. Mrs Chappo is a huge "As Time Goes By" fan now. She wants the complete DVD boxset :| |

someone had it on dvd and it was either that or a johnny depp film (and not one of the good ones) - it was just like the series really except they want on holiday.
there's no good telly here, aside from the usual american stuff. they are ridiculously big on reality tv here. there's loads of losing fat type shows (biggest loser, etc) and australian idol and different variations on that title. |
