They were loud and to be honest a little boring. I went to see Shonen Knife really. I was expecting a bit more from Dinosaur Jr though. The musicianship was good but there was no connection with the crowd or between the members of the band. I don't think any of the three of them made eye contact with each other at all during the set...it was like they were each in their own little worlds. They failed to get any real reaction from the crowd..there was no moshing going on. We ended up leaving halfway through their set.
Shonen Knife were great though! :)

VIVA ESPANA
failing that, I'd like Croatia to win it, if only for Slaven Bilic to put his fag out in the trophy and then piss in it _________________ When the weather outside is frightful,

I would like to see Croatia win it too actually. They probably won't though. _________________ "For all his horses, knighthoods and championships, he hasn't got two of what I've got. And I don't mean balls!" |

i'm going to root for spain too just because i'd love to see fabregas have a great tournament but as long as all the gooners do well and don't knacker themselves out i'm not too fussed. i have to wake up at ridiculous hours for most of the games but i'm going to try and see as many as i can. oh that euro 2008 game on the ps3 is pretty fucking good! _________________ Carlton Palmer doing his impression of a man with brain damage |

I've been keeping pretty much up to date Euro 2008. Basically seen all the games that have taken place on a weekend (at the pub) and then followed the rest at work using the text commentary on the various websites and the updates on Talksport (unless Five Live forget to turn off their international feed when the games are on, which has happened once or twice)
Been quite enjoyable, although I'm definitely NOT in the "it's so much better to watch without England being there" camp.
It's fun being part of a small but enthusiastic little group of football fans in a country that mainly doesn't give a shit. _________________ "For all his horses, knighthoods and championships, he hasn't got two of what I've got. And I don't mean balls!" |
