i cancelled my fireworks in favour of pounding pouding techno music. well. soulwax. i saw some on the way to the bus though. felt like i was in apocalypse now.

Chappo how can you "not get" mushy peas? Just get normal peas and mush them.

it doesn't seem bad at all this year compared to previous years. they went off from about 8pm to 10pm but seem to have stopped now, thank god. fireworks are complete shit anyway. i've not been to a firework do since i was about 13, and it was the local churches so as you can imagine it was party central

Down here they lit some tiny beacon for about 10 mins then took it down - pointless. I find fireworks a waste of time unless of course they're done in time with music.

There was a girl at my school called Kate and each time we had catherine wheels for lunch (they were this potato thing) everybody would tease her and go "AAAHHHH CATHERINE WHEEL!" and I never got it.

I never will.
