So there was this awful program on BBC2 about the 'comedy map of great britain' (cue cheap looking map graphics with endless clips) and apparently in Slough there is now a "Wernham Hogg's" wine bar.

And I came here and registered to tell you all that.

Wehey!

It was a good show actually, it talked about comedian's roots and that. This week it was the west of Britain with Bill Bailey's background and his band days and that. They also mentioned Steve Merchant and showed an early clip of his stand up at Bristol's Comedy Box.

Chris Morris was also mentioned when he filled the Radio Bristol news studio with helium and was subsequently fired.

According to cookd that's probably not what happened, since filling a room with helium would aphyxiate the newsreader. More likely it was another of his Darren Brown-esque tricks and he got the newsreader to breath in the balloon (somehow) but the rumour got twisted.

oh! i got offered a lift up today. i felt accepted. it was amazing. problem was i'd completely lost my voice this morning, so this girl was all "yeah why not come with us" and all i could say was " .. eekk y ee ".

i think she instantly regretted it.

Her name is Bronwyn though. Endless amusement for me and noone else because I never knew it was a real name. I thought Adam and Joe had made it up as a sort of anagram for 'browny'. Please hold the line.
