Yep. My in laws are pretty good at getting me "what were they thinking?" gifts. Bless them they mean well and they did get me a DVD writer for my computer one birthday (totally unexpectedly).
They went on a Caribbean cruise the other year and when they got back they called us up and said "oh wait until you see what we've bought for you Richard, you'll really get a kick out of it". I knew not to get my hopes up. Well what they bought me was a badly recorded homemade CD from a reggae band that were playing on the boat. It was CDR and had one of those crappy paper labels on it. My father in law had been chatting to one of the band members and had said "My son in law loves The Beatles do you think he'll like your CD?" Of course the bloke said "Yes" and I ended up with the bloody CD. a) I don't like reggae and b) there is only the tiniest link between The Beatles music and reggae c) I've never listened to it.

it's a long story but i'm expecting a shitstorm to erupt with the job centre and homeless housing dept so i'm getting some backup. i haven't met the bloke yet, he's probably just an early school leaver who had some cards printed up in jessops. i have to get my papers in order. it's all very professional _________________ Carlton Palmer doing his impression of a man with brain damage |

| You and your lawyer, suing the job centre. If they refuse you a flat I want you to stand up and say 'it's still homelessness, see you in strasborg' and walk out. |
