it wasn't an insult mr. talbot. just that your comedy expectations are probably a little more tasteful than a bunch of hyped up freshers.

I just wanna give a mad shout out to Tesco in Enfield Town, without them I think I'd robably have died by now. Every time I walk past it I remember "oh yeah, I have to eat!" and I will always come out with a pot of fruit and a BLT. Although earlier I came out with a pot of fruit and a fucking pack of cocktail sausages. Regretting that one already.

Also earlier I walked through this park and a squirrel was peeking its head around a tree and staring at me in the most hilarious way. I wanted my camera so badly at that moment. I am actually going back tomorrow in the hope of finding that squirrel. This is how I'm spending freshers week; chasing hilarious squirrels.

More pointless updating: today on the train it was so packed I was pushed right up into the corner with this man and woman facing me. He was stood behind her with his hands around her in a fairly standard way. Basically, I could only see them and they could only see me; it was that packed. Then two minutes in, he starts squeezing her breasts, she's rubbing her hand on his groin and I have literally nowhere else to look. He began to put his hands down the back of her jeans and starting kissing her neck, they knew full well I could see, how could they not! I did my best to look away and I certainly didn't make any eye contact, but jesus.

Today during a lecture I saw the person next to me taking notes and he wrote "there is no such thing as silence"

This is amazing. I still can't believe the government are prepared to pay people to do this. We were given examples of some peoples past work and some of them were shit. One of the shittest ones even got a first! It was just two audio channels with Blair speaking in one channel and Hague speaking in the other and then as you step back their voices mix and they become unintelligible. And that got a first. That's not good, that's shit! Still, it put some faith into me because virtually everybody seems to think within the confines of the sonic art world ie what would make fellow art intellectuals stroke their chins. I mean some of it is good but none of it truly has any wider appeal. Of course right now I have nothing but my aim will be to create something that is both artistically original and actually interesting to virtually anybody. As I say, I'm talking out my arse right now because I have nothing, but it's good to know that I'm aiming a little higher than most before me.

my friend said he went to a sonic art exhibition and one of the exhibits was one of those fake fireplaces, and two speakers emitting the sound of a crackling fire. is that good? i wasn't sure

http://www.bbc.co.uk/london/travel/public_transport/tube_feature.shtml

seems alright!

this bloke at work spends at least an hour of every day discussing the latest updates on the victoria line to anybody who will listen. it's amazing how these peoples lives are entirely dictated by travel

Cheers. I'm not surprised they're working on it four days a week, it's like a rollercoaster from the 50s that goes in a straight line.

Haha, that does sound great. I'm really excited to see how it all pans out, I think I can probably separate the wheat from the chaff by seeing who is actually taking it seriously come christmas. I mean there's taking it seriously and then there's not laughing when somebody tries to tell you happy hardcore was the shrieking voice of a generation.

That, sadly, hasn't happened yet.

Oh for fuck sake. I've had a fucking shit day, I got lost in the most impossible way ever, missed a lecture because of that, and I've come back to find that the entire building is without water. And apparently "nothing can be done about it until tomorrow" how the fuck is that then? I mean if you're at a home and your water goes, you generally tend to call an emergency plumber. Yet, with a building filled with hundreds of people, apparently that's no important enough to get an emergency plumber in. Nah it's alright, you just hold onto that rent, don't worry about providing me with fucking water or anything. I swear to god if the water isn't on again by tomorrow evening I'm asking for some money back.
