I can understand - just about - why they'd pay for your family to go over. And I can stretch to them giving them an expensive room to stay in.

But why would they throw spending money and a limousine at you? I don't get that

They called it a limousine but it was just a posh Mercedes.

I don't know where it says it on the website but it explains it all. I had a life threatening illness remember, I was wheelchaired through customs and the lot, they weren't just gonna expect me to get on a train and pop off home at Heathrow, were they?

No, yeah, I know. I can understand why they'd take care of you but all the extras seem a bit much. Maybe it's something to do with encouraging people to take out insurance.
