has anybody seen it and if so is it any good?

frankly i'm bored of impressions, so if that's all it is i'm not going to bother. also the new 'thursdays are funny!' campaign by bbc2 is annoying. it was already funny with mock the week, saxondale and m&w! some crap french & saunders programme is not, repeat, is not an improvement

I actually really miss telly. I didn't think I would. I can't wait for christmas, I'm just gonna sit at home in my pants eating scotch eggs and watching TV all day.

As for this thing, I haen't seen it but there have been screeners (supposedly to record the audience laughter, but it's actually a trial to see if laughter track should be added. leaving it a bit fine, aren't they?) Did you ever see his O News thing on YouTube (it's annoyingly gone now) well that's what kickstarted this series and that thing was amazing. Only about four minutes long but so good. He was doing impression-based comedy as good as Morris's Jarvis.

I really do hope the series lives up to that short clip, but people who have been to screenings (yes yes, cookd people) who enjoyed the O News clip have been saying it was very hit and miss, but when it hit it hit hard.

i'm not sure when it's supposed to hit but the first episode, which has just finished, might be one of the worst comedys i've ever seen.

big brother spoofs, more simon cowell impressions, things like 'pirate chat' and 'NEW CLEANING GUN, CLEANS KITCHENS FASTER THAN EVER'

i didn't even laugh or smile once, and i'm very easily impressed.

I missed this but am not looking forward to it now.

Did see Charlie Brooker though. That was good.
Bet there's another thread about just him already.

Brooker and serafinowicz in the same thread? my vagina might explode. dangerous. i'm downloading it as we speak but it does look shit. Screenwipe and Flight of the Conchords on beeb4 is undoubtedly the best telly line up that has ever existed and i havent got bloody freeview due to not having a pc.

What the hell, that was great! I mean it wasn't all good but the shittest sketches were pretty short and not offensively bad. I mean, Simon Cowell impressions are pretty lame but he pulled things like that off really well, ie things that probably shouldn't have been funny were.

But some of them were just flatout great. Like the spoof of that fat man in the law firm ads, I laughed like a berk at the second advert "I've just realised, that last advert didn't have a number on the end of it". That Kitchen Gun sketch was one of the funniest things I've seen in years. "NOW WITH LASER SIGHT AND NIGHT VISION FOR AFTER-DARK CLEANING!" oh and the way he kisses the gun.

i've got to agree with dan, that was fantastic. its got a great feel to it, it reminds me of old school sketch shows, like bruiser. I really enjoyed the guide to getting married part, really reminiscent of look around you with the voiceover and everything, it's that aort of stuff that serafinowicz does best. and david quantick working on the script, always a good thing as he be god.

The BBN was brilliant, especially the way he wraps his fist round the pen and starts drawing like a five year old at the end.
All in the details my friends.

And Alex Lowe.
AND Benedict Wong!

(and there was a Michael Caine acting class in a black studio like the thing he did. some of yo kids may not know that)

Is this repeated at all?

I've only seen the "Thursday" trailer of him playing the piano 1930s style.

still think it's rubbish! pacino cockney accent was alright, as was butterfield disguised as an 'american' ... before the joke just went on and on.
