What with David Attenborough's last broadcast tonight, I stumbled upon the footage of the lyrebird, which imitates whatever noises it's hears. As this one lives in a rainforest with cameras and chainsaws, it makes some pretty weird noises*

*well no, it makes the noises of a camera and chainsaw. but perfectly.

yeah, quite impressive. but of course i was let down, i thought attenborough would bust out a lenny henry record and get the bird to do that.

Sweet! I remember this show - it's from "The Secret Life of Birds" - the entire series is fricken phenomenal.
