i saw them last night too! at jojo's

they were so good it was almost unreal, they create this party atmosphere within seconds, one of them is always in the crowd at some point, hugging people. the music is amazing (like the best sonic youth stuff)

i haven't danced that hard since animal collective! then johnny foreigner came on and everybody was too tired but they did really well too.

i saw Islands last night (ex Unicorns guys) and they were really good. but here's the thing: i was really into it and when they got quite intense i was dancing in the only way i know how, which is basically spasming like i'm having an epileptic fit. but everybody around me were completely motionless and i was right up front near the middle. two older guys in front of me were even tutting because i nudged into them while they were recording the songs on their shitty little camera phones

i mean, am i being an inconsiderate twat or are they just miserable fucks? on the one hand i feel like i shouldn't care because it's a GIG, i'm entitled to enjoy myself but also i don't want to make it bad or not enjoyable for the people around me

i mean this isn't anything new but last night seemed to be an exceptional case of it. when the older guy tutted at me i did sort of bump into him on purpose a few times, but he did deserve that.

Yeah have fun, but saying that i got seriously hurt at tv on the radio last week by twats getting too over excited and aggressive and i ended up getting a weird blister thing on the end of my foot.
dananananaykroyd are good, never seen them though but i think one of them is friends with a girl in my class who dan would 100% fall deeply in love with instantly. from hong kong with a scottish accent and just lovely.

i'm pretty sure the danana/johnny foreigner tour went to scotchland a few days ago. although it was probably glasgow, i imagine that to be like some kind of deep fried industrial horror film 24/7.

yeah he went to jojos too.. i've never seen a gig there before but it seems quite an odd place to watch a band? the stage is well high and the crowd's a pit?

hah, what's donna like these days? i might come along. jojo's is actually decent, at first the massive stage looks daunting but it works. plus danan weren't afraid to jump in. gets fucking hot though.

saw of montreal on thursday, shit. crowd full of cunts. but then saw british sea power last night who were fucking amazing, leaves, trees, bikes, horns, female bulgarian choir, piggyback rides, interspecies wrestling, and of course, epic songs.

can't fucking wait to see danan again though, got to wait until november, and it's at mcluckys so i'll be trying to bus my way home at 3am.

ellen, this is a long shot but you weren't in camden on thursday were you? saw somebody who looked a lot like you.
