Hello there
So on Friday night I had the pleasure of attending Middlesex universities "End of year ball"... were you there? Do you even go to that uni? I know I called up Ellen at a very obscene hour to ask her.. my friend in Babyshambles was DJing so I went up with him as it's his old university and the guy organising the event was in his class when he was there (in 1999 - he's still trying to graduate).. they had a terrible covers band on before his set.. his set went well, then Annie Mac took over.. and about 20 minutes in, a fire alarm went off, the whole place got evacuated and it took them about an hour to get everybody back inside.. to Annie Mac's credit, she didn't do a runner at this point but actually stayed to DJ again, I think the Stanton Warriors had just come on when we left.. it was an odd atmosphere I found? We didn't meet any new people which is odd as usually when I go "on the road" with Adam we meet a nice new group of people everytime who direct us to a party.. unfortunately, nothing of the sort was to happen.. everybody seemed far too cliquey and bored to bother talking to anybody new. _________________ it took me three attempts to register here. |

yeah
well
yeah
i've been thinking about maybe doing art history instead. just because it is interesting and it's a safer bet. i still want to do sonic arts but jesus it's so easy to become disillusioned with it. ultimately, if i carry on with it it could either turn out really great or i'll end up hating it. art history would be interesting and i wouldn't have to worry about getting pissed off/bored etc
might just flip a coin |

history of art students are really fucking annoying though. my friend does it, and has become bored with it and wishes she'd done german.

Did you live in Oakwood then, Dan? Cos it didn't seem too far away from London? Only about three stops or so from Turnpike Lane, and that's a tube quite close to where I live right now.. _________________ it took me three attempts to register here. |

presumably you mean central london
and no, i lived in enfield. which was quite far from my campus but oakwood was the nearest tube
this time i'll be living...well i still don't really know yet. as long as it's near the piccadilly line i'm not too bothered, i just don't want to catch another fucking bus again in my life. |

i caught an australian train today. some businessman's phone jammed on a trance remix of umbrella and he started panicking. in the end a stranger had to physically dismantle it for him, and he got off at the next stop just to avoid further embarassment (it might've been his actual stop) he also claimed somebody had 'bluetoothed' the song to him and made it play. _________________ Carlton Palmer doing his impression of a man with brain damage |

only in australia! and possibly elsewhere
so last night i spent the night in a bus shelter. saw animal collective (very awesome) and it went over the curfew = missed the last coach + train. it was really cold and there was this insane old man and this old asian woman and the asian woman wanted the man to find somewhere to live but he was just completely out of his mind. she was making me translate her broken english into his brain-frazzled nonsense-speak and vice versa. that i did not need after a night of euphoric psych folk
i would have actually made my coach IF THE VICTORIA LINE WASN'T CLOSEWLKHBGDLYWGBDIHJW FUCK YOU. why. always when i need it most. why. |

| urgh that is annoying. thats one thing i dont miss being in scotland, buses and train cancellations. We have a scottish version of the circle line, which is ok, and only £1.10 single, not 4 fourking pounds. |
